Would give 10 if I could. Simple but delicious authentic menu. And the prices- more than reasonable. I judge a lot of restaurants by the way they serve vegetables- Mi Peru gets an A+ for perfectly steamed veggies. This place is extremely clean. Manuel was an amazing server, and gave great recommendations. One thing that stood out is the fact that he said the owners took something off them menu because it would have required them to freeze it! Interested in trying something new? This is the place!
my husband and had a date to Mi Peru. we have decided to try local ethnic cuisine and this was the first place on our list. it was excellent! I ordered the Peruvian chicken with fried yuca and fried plantains. My husband had the lomo Salgado served with rice. the dishes were rich in flavor and spices, many of which were new to us. the servings were large and we both had leftovers. the restaurant was crowded and busy. the cost of our meal with tip was $44.
This is a very nice little restaurant. Food is amazing. We got rotisserie chicken($13) and a steak($17). Prices are fair. Quality is great. The sauce is the best!! We enjoyed our meal here.
Guess my expectations were too high since everyone at works talks about how good this place is.
The Chicken was a 4.5 stars, fries were crispy, beans were a little bland and the sauce was also bland( no bite), the young lady was polite and provided good service. The ambiance was good.
I have been to this restaurant a few times. They used to have a Lomo Saltado with Tacu Tacu (rice and beans mix). This was the best option I think. In general, the food is tasty. Definitely the best Peruvian restaurant on the area with a variety of dishes. Service staff is very friendly and attentive and the atmosphere of the restaurant is very casual. This restaurant is definitely family friendly. If you are craving something different, this might just be the place.
Modest setting. Very friendly staff. The rotisserie chicken is amazing - so juicy and flavorful and well-seasoned. The Lomo Saltado is solid - doesn't necessarily stand out from other Peruvian restaurants, but a very good dish I always enjoy. And the Ceviche here is quite unique and tasty!
This was a 1st here, in Durham, for me. Have had thus type of food b4. My wife, no. Chicken dishes are the best in any Peruvian restaurant, because that is what they are known for. Both of us had chicken dishes with rice. I liked the green sauce, my wife, not so much. This was a cozy place, in a strip mall. Both of us enjoyed the meal, as did the people with us. Recommend this place to try or treat as a usual place to eat. Great food, all around.
Omg!! My new favorite Peruvian spot! This meal brought me back to life when I wasn’t feeling the best. The aji de gallina hit the spot! It felt so warm and homey to eat like your favorite comfort meal when you’re sad. The arroz chaufa de carne was delicious with the yellowish sauce (see photo for reference)! We ordered the choros a la chalaca fuete as well- my lunch date raved over those! Can’t forget to mention the chicha!! I could swim in a pool of their chicha, it’s so good!! My experience here was emotional and beautiful and I can’t wait to try what else they have! We shared each dish between two people and had enough for leftovers! We ate outside and brought our dog. The staff was friendly and kind! 10/10 highly recommend!!
